Technology

Yerba Buena High school is part of the digital high school program in California. The entire campus is networked, and we have a 4 T-1 pipeline to the Internet. Network and Internet access is possible from any computer on campus.

Each classroom has a minimum of 2 computers. One that is designated for teacher use, and one that is designated solely for students. Teachers perform a variety of tasks on the computer including taking roll and record keeping. Many of our teachers use their computer to design lessons, classroom materials, and to give multimedia presentations. Students use the computers for research and project development.

YB has three computer labs that can be scheduled for use by the staff. And we have 4 digital classrooms serving our business classes and engineering magnet. Additionally, there are a number of network and hardware resources available to students and staff. Information on these resources can be reviewed at the link below.

YB also participates in the UCCP Distance Learning Project. As YB moves forward we will be offering more digital resources and creating a richer digital environment for all YB stakeholders.
